Have a vision - Need a script

Firstly, thank you for your willingness to help!
I am making a website for a bunch of local restaurants with HUGE menus. In order to make the phone ordering easier for all take out orders, I would like to have a check button next to every item on the menu, so that potential clients can mark their requests before calling in. At the end of the menu, I invision a button called "order summary" which would generate a pop-up window listing just the items selected from each menu, along with the total price for the order.
Is this possible and what would be the easiest and obviously the least expensive way to do this?

thanks weblord - I've seen this script, but it's too basic for my needs... - I am mainly interested in its ability to allow viewers select their choices and them sum those choices up (preferably on a pop-up or a new page) - adding up the cost of individual items would be a great treat too!

I guess you are using a database with tables for the restaurants, and tables for the menus?

If so, you could easily list the menu items, with a checkbox and let JavaScript handle a popup window.. Personally, I'd use a next page in thesame frame, but both are possible.
