Has Olympics viewing affected your PPC income?

I know that it's Summer, and that parking income is generally lower. However, has any else had parking income really tank over this August? All I can figure is that people are busy watching the Olympics, and not surfing the net. Let me know I'm not alone...

it happened to me and to a lot of BANS members, I think it's a combination of the Olympics, school and summer.

Naw. Parking income is about average..... my Fabulous names are up 20% on the month, Parked.com has remained steady, can't really tell with Bodis as I moved many names that are "on hold" and temporarily with other companies until things are smoothed out, SedoPro is alright ( actually had a $9 click on SedoPro yesterday, and my affiliate sites are doing the best they have done in over 8 months. Not sure about Namedrive... haven't checked my namedrive parking stats since 2007. lol.

My revenue dropping by a third in August so far. Dropping by 2 thirds this week, but today was about average.

Parking income is up. AdSense income is down, but I'm between fireworks season and haunted house season, so the AdSense will start picking up again next month.

Personally, I'm spending more time in front of the TV watching the Olympics and since they run so late here, that's at least two hours that I would have been at the computer, so perhaps there's something to it.

AdSense income is well down during Olympics, parking is down but not greatly

Lots of people go on vacation during this time of the year... I have several geo-specific sites and other travel names - those have done quite well during this time.

Yeah... but the weekends are always worse than the weekdays.

My parking income is about flat. The only events that has ever affected my income so far are:
1. During the one or two weeks before Christmas and January.
2. During the release of the last Harry Potter book. I suppose many people opt to read the book instead of surfing the web.

My baby domains are doing fine but others have gone down.Hope things will get back to normal

The last 2 day's ( Aug 24,25) I've seen a significant jump in my RPC for domains that have regular traffic and earnings. Domains that have been consistently earning .20 a click are suddenly getting .75 per click.

Across my portfolio, traffic is down about a third. Most of my domains are .co.nz so it's late winter for most of my target audience.

I'm hoping it's the Olympics ... I can bear a fortnight, if it's something permanent I won't be a happy camper.
