Has mobi slowed the train?

With much interest in the new mobi extension I see a decline in sales with my other extensions, are others seeing this trend also? I wonder when the "mobi rush" will settle down and things can get back to normal, it seems everyone is spending their hard earned dollars on mobi while there are still some half decent names to be had.

Personally, I think .mobi is a bubble that will be short lived. However, it doesn't seem to have harmed my sales in gTLD's. I've had very good sales the last 4 weeks. It did seem to put a quick stop to the very short lived .im hype though.

The .MOBI engine is already going strong. I think the original poster is talking about the momentum behind other TLD's dropping because of .MOBI's.

This could be true as far as speculative domains go, but I doubt the .MOBI market has affected the demand for quality .COM's, traffic domains and the like.

I think that there is now a period where a lot of the lower priced domains (e.g. LLLL.com,NNN.cc and CCC.net) are not getting as much attention as they were before the .MOBI was released but these domains were quite speculative in their value anyway.

Those with domains that they are targetting to sell to endusers shouldn't have seen much difference in sales but the domainers selling to other resellers short domains that have $XX-low$XXX value might see a drop. This may be a sign that it is a good time to buy but not to sell some types of names.
