if you go to the site and type in "domain name" you should get a few hits. I get quite a few for the south florida area. Some of the names are absolute junk with very big price tags. Has anyone here ever used Craigslist to buy or sell a name?

I have listed several with no luck to date. Haven't tried in a while though.

Most of the time people will flag a domain name for sale... at least that has been my experience... and I also haven't done it in quite a while.

i figure they flag names if they are not listed in the correct category. I notice most names are listed under "business/websites" for sale

I've made offers to buy older domain names on Craigslist - with no luck. I imagine finding an end-user pretty difficult.

Never tried craigslist but I had success on twitter for a domain sale and also for physical products...

I generally avoid selling anywhere where the respondents have a moderate probability of raping and murdering me. The best you can hope for from anything from CL is incompetent buyers. The worst are scammers and psychos.

I listed some domain names for sale on Craigslist. Only responses I got were spam. :bah:

Craigslist is free to post, has many users and if you own good GEO or city related names and keywords you may find a buyer.

I use Craigslist to buy and sell a lot of stuff locally. You need to be careful.
