Has anyone of you used CAX.COM to sell your domanis?

Hello Everybody:

I wanted to know if anyone of you have been able to sell any of your domain through CAX.COM. I wanted to try their service to sell my domains as they charge only 5% of the sales commission, which is very good.

Currently, I'm using SEDO and Godaddy to list my domains for sale and I have had some success in terms of selling few domains here and there but not to the extent that I want. I would like to sell my domains as soon as possible even if I have to sell them for cheap.

I would love to hear your experience and suggestion in using CAX.COM if you have used their service to sell your domains.

if you're trying to compete with the likes of sedo or gobaddly, you have to charge lower commission rates to entice domainers to list there.

I just completed my second small sale through Cax ($90 and $25). For some reason, it will not pay me for the second sale until I send them a copy of my driver's license. I have already transferred the domain to the buyer so I don't understand the need to make me send my driver's license.

No minimum. There was $1.25 commission on my $25 sale.

I have never experienced any problem with godaddy and Sedo in terms getting paid. Payment is very important aspect of any business. What's the point of doing business if you don't get paid.

Yes, you the seller are the low risk side of the transaction to CAX. The buyer could play games with paypal or credit card after getting the domain. So this was not a true escrow where CAX holds the domain and the money?

Cax only holds the money, not the domain. They just confirm that the buyer has received the domain before they release the funds to the seller.

I believe Cax.com is a good place to sell domains for reasonable amounts. Perhaps Francois @DomainingCom could comment?

If you sign-up for a Domaining.com account it's good with Cax.com and Ecop.com, the companion Escrow service. Francois owns all of these services.

I think it will be a waste of time and effort in trying to use CAX to sell our domains as I don't see any means of promotion and traffic goes to the parked page not to CAX. Unless someone stumbles upon CAX and browses the listed domains. I see no hope of selling my domains through CAX.

Recently I sold one of my LLLL.net at BIN in Cax.com. Overall experience is good, CAX.com has its own escrow service ECOP.COM and transaction in ECOP platform was very fast. But visibility/promote of the domains at cax.com was very less. Quick sales if you promote the domain on your own otherwise we need to wait for the right buyer who was interested interested in your domain.
