you are wanting for a domain name.
I had someone make an offer on one of my names and I countered and he countered back and ask me to justify why I was asking that for it.
I replied back with the overture results for both of the keywords and told them they worked well together.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

your reply so far is fine...if there is further correspondence you can say that you thiink the domain is worth double but that you are trying to raise some funds for another project and that is why the price is so low...this way you are putting forward the idea that he is getting a bargain. He is of course welcome to seek out an independent valuation from eg sedo. Whatever the provocation be polite. Don't win the argument and lose the sale.

No need for justification. He wants what you have. If he wants it more than you he has to pay your price.

the domain is worth that amount to you personally as of course you have developement ideas in the near future for the domain :hehe: if the domain name is not worth the value to the buyer that you place on it then you are more than happy to keep it in your portfolio as developement will eventually come to it from your end and throwing this link at him won't hurt either http://www.dnjournal.com/ytd-sales-charts.htm especially if it is something similiar to what you are selling, kinda hard to tell you if your price is reasonable as we don't know the domain name in question and your asking price, this is something you need to decide and what value you place on it and how bad you need the sale, if you think it is worth what you are asking stick to your guns, if not then negotiate a little if needed. good luck :)

ditto. If buyer is uneducated on domain values, can refer to DNJournal.com. If buyer appears knowledgeable but tries to trivialize the domain's value (assuming it is valuable), then move on and wait for more legit buyer.
