How has been your experience and what was the response time frame?

My query is simply pending since 30-July-2013. Actually another one is pending since 18-Jul-2013. No replies till date.

Do they seriously have real people working for them or its just a platform to buy and sell domains and if you have questions their FAQ's would cover everything?
However, i have seen them market managers handling certain departments even on their website. So are they real or just some marketing strategy?

Sometimes Sedo's automatic verification is stuck, or something like that.

First of all, makes sure you had done all these important steps:
1. Temporarily disables your privacy protection during the ownership verification process.
2. Make sure your Sedo contact details match the contact details in the WHOIS records.
3. Set your name servers to NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM and NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM

And if it takes about more than a day to verify a domain, just simply contact Sedo's Customer Support.
Then Sedo will do some manual verification to your domains.

I hope that helps.

Hi

what was the nature of your query?

Thanks casualnames.com for the info however i am completely aware of it.

I just want to get an understanding of their support level based upon users personal experience.

biggie - My nature of query was related to become an affiliate because my clients wanted to sell their domains via Sedo and wanted the SedoMLS Premium hence i contacted them.

However in the meantime i have sourced other alternatives but still would be interesting to hear some personal views.

I have contacted them before via the live chat option. Never used the support system differently but I found them to be very friendly and helpful

The only time I had to contact sedo support, was when I was having issues creating my account, it took them almost 5 days to finally reply my mail... They do ve workers, but thier response time is kinda slow, compared to godaddy's less than 24hrs response.

Hi nav

if or once you have a sedo account, then go to:

My Sedo > Partner Program

then you can either add your affiliate link or place banners on your website or emails.

then you have your clients click on those links, so when they set-up their Sedo accounts....they will be under YOU.

then, they can add/park their domain names and buy and sell like us.

let me know if you need mo info

imo....

Thanks for all your responses so far based upon individual experiences.

biggie - I have done and completed every single step as mentioned on their website and as you have suggested regarding the partner program, a long time ago. And after waiting for few days i sent them an email mentioned on their website. I think i have waited too long.

Anyhow the wait was frustrating but fruitful as i have launched a new platform for my clients to sell and buy domains, and i am aware that it's pretty small as compared to Sedo or Godaddy/Afternic but at least something to start off with.

joaopica - i was bit confused there. Did you meant to say that you own gold.com or you own LLLL.com domain names? Check the Parking and Traffic Monetization thread, might give you bit more insight on your query.

I haven't had the need to contact Sedo yet. I expect I'll have to at some point no doubt.

Best way to contact Sedo is thru their live chat option. They are quick and courteous and you get a copy of what transpires in your e-mail.

One thing you might want to do is put your questions etc in Notepad and paste it to your chat when you are connected..If you are in the states-u connect to their offices in Boston but your
questions are also forwarded to Germany.

Tried it once, didn't work. Plus the time difference between Australia and US is 12 hours which makes it bit difficult.
Still, no reply for that long period amazes me.

Their website seems to be running PHP 3, which has been obsolete for over a decade. Most providers such as Go Daddy are on 5.3, and we're on 5.5. I wouldn't expect a whole lot from such a company, but maybe that's just me being a programmer.

Paul

Ive had names over there for @7 yrs and they have glitches for sure.
Most recently a big one.

I only post in name pros, prefering to go it myself--but the name-pros "godaddy thread" has saved me some $$$.

After reading(i read a lot) it seems that they had to change lots of their landing and i am seeing that google changed it's requirements @ the last of AUG and that is when their glitch ocurred..To NAVI from down below--the time diff has to be a factor and their hrs woulds equate to doing the chat in the middle of the nite.

Thanks Paul for your reply.Right now it is lunch and i am going to have a sandwich with some good bread :)) :gn: .Buona Giornata
