Hi

I am still a green horn to the whole domain industry, so have another question, I hope you can help me with,

I am thinking about hand reg a one word domain, which is very brandable and catchy, however, I checked the other major TLD versions out and the .com is actually an adult site, even though the actual name I am choosing isn't usually an adult name. My question is does the .com affect how other investors and end users see other domains with the same generic one word?

Thanks in advance

Suspected porn seems to be one of the categories that causes domains to be blocked.
I've got a site http://mumslog.com that is blocked by the local library as a porn site. I still haven't found out why. It contains pictures of swans and cats and similar items. My FoxyTalk.com name seems to be blocked everywhere, and that doesn't contain any files. the name resolves to the standard cpanel directory listing. It seems the inclusion of the word "foxy" is sufficient for the ban.

Obviously, if you get banned anywhere it will lose you traffic, and most of the ban listing sites seem to exchange information.
