There are many details that one would require in order to provide an intelligent answer:

1. How was the inquiry made? Email, phone, etc.
2. Does the site have any traffic?
3. Do you need the money?
4. Why did you register the domain in the first place??
5. What is the buyer's intended use?

Based on the limited information that you have provided, I would say $1500 to $750 since you already have an interested party. Good luck with your sale.

Cheers.

Enquiry was made by phone

A little traffic...not much

I always need the money

I like the name and thought it would be a good music site for someone. Never had any intention to develop it myself

He is starting a new company and that will be the company name.

Ask for $1500 and report his response.

Based on their domain selections (hip-hop.net) there willing to use keyword domains with hyphens in a second tier TLD.. My guess is there not going to pay big dollars for the domain. Since theyve contacted you by phone, they're probably reasonably serious, but I think at best your looking at $500. However, the truth is you should have asked them to make an offer. Its always better to be in second position.

I think it's never too late to ask them to make an offer. The guy is a teenager. And I agree with Justin's evaluation of his use of domain names. However, I'm not familiar with the hip-hop culture. These might be quite acceptable domains. I would ask him for $2000 (which after all is only GBP 1,000). A small price to pay for a pretty cool domain name for somebody making money in the music industry. Then take it from there.

The inquirer is just a member of hip-hop.net, they don't own it.
