They are no longer managed by AdamsNames, but Atlantis North LTD. I believe they are part of the CoCCA which administers quite a few extensions from Afghanistan to East Timor.accentnepal said:.gs is the extension for South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. Located in the middle of the South Atlantic Ocean, they are a long way from Atlanta.
These are administered by Adamsnames.gs and are open to the general public. Adams may be a more stable registrar than some. Price is listed as $50, two and three letter/number names were changed to 'inquire for price' a couple weeks ago, and probably have gotten expensive.
Like many small country extensions they are doing the same thing with domains as they do for stamps, selling something that is pretty and rare, but with limited market value. Consider them highly speculative and if you get any be SURE that you get something worthwhile. And put most of your money elsewhere.

They're brilliant, you should get loads of them.
I own land.gs...

Actually, I found that Moniker has them for $29.40, but it doesn't seem that you can register 2 characters as it is showing up as taken, when it's available

My error. I had them as AdamsNames, and assumed the shorties were swept up with the others. Apparently not.htmlindex said:It doesn't look like they've been reserved yet. I picked up some 2-character ones Ga(.)gs & Wi(.)gs.

Agreed. ccTLDs are great if you choose wisely among the 220+ available...Gerrit said:For sales purposes I'd not go for any extention of a non-populated country,
Yes... and .bv is not even live and .sj isn't tooGerrit said:I seriously doubt if extentions like .gs, .bv, .io etc will ever be high in demand.
