Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Just Got Hacked!

My whole f**king server just got hacked and attacked. One minute everything is there and okay and the next every single site on my server has been hacked, now this is the first time this has happened to me but the worst thing is that i don't have backups for my sites - i just recently lost everything (including all my websites) from my hard drive and i only got round to downloading one of my websites.

Every index.php file has been replaced.

My server has just gone offline too. I need my server details (server id, client id blah blah and other stuff) to request support or a reboot - i haven't got these cause i lost these when i lost everything on my hard drive.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

This is a bad week. But, i guess it'll teach me to keep backups!

Sounds like the Turkish hackers (again) that have been striking around recently - or either a copycat group.

Yeh, they exploited cpanel my brother just got the server back online with ssh. Updated a few things that may have been the way in - i dunno. Hopefully this won't happen again, got myrawr.com back online - that's the only backup i had.

Gonna use saturday and sunday to get the rest of my sites sorted, i must say though i love the dancing title bar they use haha!

the Turkish hacker page is quite common. there are many script kiddies who try to exploit the server. beware when selling hosting through a shared server. it wont be a problem if the server is patched and updated regularly.
