top GreatDomains First Premium Auction to be Held Thursday

While traffic stats may not be readily available, you may wish to check Sedo's marketplace (www.Sedo.com) for additional information. Many of these domains are listed there as well, and if parked with us, their search listing should provide traffic.

If you are unable to find traffic for a specific name, please let me know and I can look into it for you. However, keep in mind that many of the names are there due to marketability as well.

Unfortunately, there is no way to get names in now. However, you can certainly list the domains in your Sedo account and then apply for the next Premium Auction event through Domain Management. I'm not sure exactly when the next one will be, but our brokers are hoping to have one regularly. Good luck!

Cool auction with some great domains. Now if just the buyers would pay for the auctions, sedo would be great I have my bidding paddle ready to go!

the reserves seem crazy high for most of these names!

which really discourages any additional bidding

A slight part of the reason is some sellers read the fine-print (or simply assume) of Sedo's brokerage agreement, which basically states that Sedo is both the seller and buyer agent ... if one doesn't understand why that's a potential problem, think physical real estate. Then of course there's the usual risks of auctions ... and so in short, the auction for many sellers is just a marketing gimmick to get inquiries figuring their domain will only sell at reserve at most.

Anyways, getting back to the topic at hand - it's great to read Sedo owns GreatDomains ... it will undoubtedly become a more active, higher quality sales venue.
