Graphic names - Any future?

Hi,

In the title I used the expression "graphic names" but maybe there is allready a name for domains like:
l-l dot com
l--l dot com
ppqq dot com
bbbddd dot com

Is there some potencial in names that explore the visual effect of the characters on the adress bar?

I am thinking of getting one I think looks really nice, but I'm not sure if it's worth (or could be worth in the future) anything at all.

There are also names like -america- dot com or 1america1 dot com(these ones are already registered) that can be (or not) an alternative when good names are virtually all taken.

Any thoughts on this?

they pop up in discussion from time to time. i haven't seen any resale figures - often they are difficult to remember for return visits, so mainly have value as vanity names, or as names that "invite" inquisitive clicks perhaps.
