Got a decent offer on Sedo. Auction or not?

I usually send to auction when I get an offer, and it usually increases the initial bid. I am curious how often others may elect to sell based on the initial bid, or send to auction. Got an offer of $400 on CelebBaby(*dot*) com. I am thrilled to get this offer considering I picked it up one month ago for a bargain price. Seems like an enduser, and I was about to send to auction, but the offer is decent enough I may "sell now". What do others think?
Thanks All!

yes it is a decent offer but I can see the potential for development

Personally I would sell now to avoid alienating the initial bidder, who is obligated to pay but might back out after an auction. This name most likely won't get beyond 400, imo

Sell now.

CelebBaby is an ok name, but unless you plan to develop yourself, just take it. Some buyers get pissy if you send it to auction and they could walk away with you getting no more bids.

I hate making offers on domains at Sedo then the seller sends to auction.

So now I have to wait 7 days and by that time, my interest has waned, and 9 times out of 10, noone else bids on the name anyway.

I agree with Devil_Dog. If the offer is fair - take it and move on. Sending it to auction is a great way to aggetate the seller and lose the domain. You probably wont get much more at auction, if anything at all.

It's always good to go with ones initial gut reaction, which for me was good offer, nice ROI, sell now!. Since I'm still learning the ropes I got a little quick to think...hmmm maybe I should send to auction..? I was about to do this, but thought no stop! I appreciate the very quick response from all of you and based on a jury of my peers I took everyones advice and sold the name. I have had good luck however on auctions in the past, but it always depends on the name.

Thanks everyone! :xf.love: :xf.love: :xf.love:
