Hi there,

I just got a $200 offer on a domain I own on Afternic. The domain is "DirtyBirdie.com". I have been the owner of the domain for around 2 weeks now, and I don't think I ever listed it with Afternic (I did list it with Sedo, not sure how I got an offer through afternic).

The offer is for $200 and expires in 7 days. Should I:

1) Send a counter offer, and hold onto it unless I get a better offer:
2) Take it.
3) There's another option on afternic saying :

Wait For Best Offer
2) We will show your domain name on our home page to solicit a better offer. If you do not receive a better offer, this offer will be automatically accepted seven days after the offer was made. You still get a free Exchange Membership ($19.95 value) when you choose this option.

The domain cost me around $40.5 a couple of weeks ago, and if I'm reading this right I must go with the Escrow service (not sure about this - read through it quickly) or something like that, which has a $60 minimum fee - meaning my profit on the domain comes to $99.5. Am I reading this right? Has anyone ever sold through afternic without incurring this fee?

Just to make sure you guys know - I bought the domain for the purpose of reselling really, not developing, so don't take any potential development on my end into consideration.

What do you think :)?

My first reaction was "sell". I like 3 the best, it gets the name visibility for a week (potentially more offers). If you're willing to sell it for $99.50 profit for 3 weeks worth of owning....sound good to me.

Thanks

Thanks again, this domain will apparently pay for most of the auction fees I paid on 4 domains :) The domains were DirtyBirdie.com, ThyBlog.com (Which I plan on developing into a medieval themed blog hosting service), NetErrors.com and 85K.net which I already resold for $60.

Ok, I chose #3 which means it'll be displayed on the homepage for about 7 days till the auction for it closes. Afternic also presented me with the ability to counter offer.

What would you counter for - $400, less, more?
