New here. I was referred to your site by a member on another Forum.

I'm not "in" this industry and am, in fact, getting out of the PC Industry.

I've owned the name GOPC.com for quite a while and it is also the trademarked name of the line of PC my Company built.

GoPC isn't just the name of my Computers any more.... it defines the Industries movement to Mobile Personal Computing. It is Freedom for Technology. From Cell Phones to PDAs to Notebooks and beyond.

As I said, I'm out of that Industry now and had considered letting the name go until a friend suggested I try and sell it.

I'm looking for a honest concensus of what it may be worth and a good buyer for it.

Any thoughts?

I'm not prepared to comment on the value of this name, but to let the registration expire would just be crazy. Its a very good name. Short. Easy to remember. Easy to spell. Highly brandable.

Hehe... that doesn't surprise me, and it's a compliment to the name. I suspect that quite a few people are hoping they can scoop everyone else by grabbing it quickly and cheaply.

It's a nice domain. Short, easy to remember and ideal for development.

id say $XXX mid-high for the domain to a reseller. $XXXX mid for someone else to purchase the domain for themselves to develop. these are just my opinions though. if i were in this field, i would pay $XXX mid-high for it for sure.

Thanks for all the great suggestions... It's been very helpful.

I've had several suggestions to try and develop it again into a PPC/AD site as well. That is starting to make more sense as I begin to understand how this all works a bit more.

Okay.... update.

I've decided to develope and I've got the bulk of the site up over the past couple days. It's only been up for about 48 hours but the response has been amazing. I've got about a million advertisers to add but the site is taking almost 1500 hits a day at this point. Only this time, I've got more for the visitors than a couple PPC links.

I think, based on what I've seen so far, that I can continue to grow the site and the traffic. I'm shooting for at least 5000 hits a day again. Even now, I'm running between 30,000 and 45,000 hits a month! Not to bad I don't think.

Considering my traffic... what do you suppose I'm looking at NOW for a decent offer for the domain?

Mid to high $xxx easily, you could see low $xxxx if the site is developed. Very catchy and brandable, short domain. I wish you the best of luck selling this domain!

I'm about 90% ready to lauch the new www.GoPC.com to the World. Hits are high, now I just need to fine tune how to engage the viewing public.

Need your input on the site, the links and the "feel".

It's a Resource page mostly. References and Help and leads. Not all the leads are PPC or Affiliate programs but many are.

I am particularly happy with the .be links and the content they hold. Probably the very best Relevence and Search features of the entire site.
