Google to retire AdSense for Domains

"We’re contacting you because you’re using AdSense for Domains to monetize your undeveloped domains. After evaluating the benefits of our partner network, we’ve decided to retire the Hosted domains product within AdSense. Going forward, undeveloped domains will only be served through our existing AdSense for Domains distribution network.

March 21: You’ll no longer be able to create new Hosted domains
April 18: Hosted domains will become inactive and it’ll no longer be possible to earn from them
June 27: Hosted domains will no longer be available in AdSense accounts

To continue monetizing your undeveloped domains, you can migrate your domain portfolio to any domain parking provider.

Please note that this upcoming change won’t affect any other AdSense products you’re currently using or the availability of other products to you. In addition, reporting on your Hosted domains will remain available throughout the schedule above and for a period following the retirement."

This would have really taken off if they just added some basic options that the other parking companies have.

..anyway we should send our congrats to parking companies - interesting to know how many new accounts they will get in the nearest months on that. ..and how much they lost when Google introduced its parking service a while ago

i did that too because of low CPC/CTR.. yet i have some balance left with them. and conveniently enough you cant withdraw it if its below $100.. however i would prefer to donate my $40 to Wikipedia or some charity instead of to what Google has become of itself during last 5-7 years

I believe you can cancel your goggle account and have the reminder of your funds sent to you.

That was low because most advertisers opted out of it... which is probably why they're "retiring" it. Advertiser interest just wasn't there.

(I never bothered with it - as a domain owner or as an advertiser.)

Yeah there are several. Check out the forum for more options. There are VooDoo, Bodis, ParkingCrew, DomainApps, and several more. Each has their own thread on NamePros.

I was thinking of using Adsense for Domains but I haven't seen an option within the Adsense dashboard. Now I come to know, they're retiring it.

What are other alternative for monetizing parked domains? I'm just new to this things and I'm planning of parking a few of my domains.
