Google says I have no backlinks

Google says my site AnimeCinema.net has no backlinks:
http://www.google.com.au/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&q=link:http://animecinema.net/

If you search animecinema or anime cinema in google it will come up with sites that have links to my site. These are just video sharing sites and social bookmarking sites? Don't they count of something.

Submit the sitemap and verify the site You will see the backlinks in there It is more detailed in there.

I get the same thing,I have a lot of backlinks in Yahoo and other search engines and none for Google.

yes Link: operator of google is not working 100%.. try to put your url to yahoo site explorer the result is almost the same as google..

Yahoo always indicates a lot more backlinks comparing to Google. Google is very selective to count your links - only these that meet their quality formulas are counted. For instance one of my sites has around 500 backlinks shown by Yahoo site explorer but only 5 for Google.

google for backlink checker.. I'm sure you'll find plenty of tools that are more accurate than google

Humm... How can a tool be more accurate then the google itself in finding the backlinks for google.

I think it is dependent upon how long ago the backlinks were generated...
i usually check google.com/webmasters/tools to check my external link

Both of what you ask is what we mean.

When you do a link:domain.com it only shows some of the backlinks you have. If you sign up for webmaster tools the interface will show much more.

Although most links count for PR and ranking the impact they have is based on relevancy and highly thought of the site doing the linking is.

Whats kinda funny is I use Blogger for my blogs that is owned by Google so you would think they would ad links from my blog.

You don't get links in google. You get links from other websites. Which google takes into consideration.

IMHO google only adds backlink when it does its crawling and its craawling rate is quite slow as compared to yahoo.

anantshri backolinks can appear for sites even if you stop the search engines coming into the site.

If I remember correctly they use the anchor text for the link as the title. Of course these wont rank very well anyway hence why you do not usually see them.
