If you can't find it there 10 is the best, 0 is the worst.

It is fairly easy to get PR1, PR2, and PR3. I rarely ever see PR10's.

PR 10 is good and from there you can count towards the negetive side. Like PR 9, PR 8, PR 7 etc.

Generally speaking sites with PR4 and above are considered well developed and receive some/a lot of traffic
Also Adult sites don't get high PR

JRB is right. Getting a PR 7 is not an easy thing.

Moreover download.com is getting typein traffic. And returning users more compared to the new users trying to find them in google. Download.com is an establish word right now.

I feel very odd...I always type in download.cnet.com ;)

Traffic is not only based on PR. You may have a PR7 but 10 hits a day.
Other factors apply: Keyword Density & Number of Pages (Indexed of
Course).

A big PR will boost any well optimized page/site.

Good Luck.

Exactly! :)
There can be low PR-ranked sites getting a lot of traffic. Actually, PageRank is based on a per page basis, not on a site basis. If it were, every page on a site would have the same rank as the home page. Typically, when a site has a (place # here) PR, it's usually referring to it's home page rank. Some sites could have pages ranked higher than their own home page, again, proving that PR is related to a page, not a whole site.
