Hey, first post. I love this site. Can somebody give me an estimate of what's a worthy keyword?

FOR EXAMPLE, based on AVG Search Volume per month what is,

Very Good - ???
Good - ????
Decent - ?????
Bad -?????

Several of my domains range from 10,000 to 30,000 per month and I would like to know how good that is. Thanks.

Worthy to resell. Thanks, for the response.

pretty much any domain with just one keyword that has a high enough search volume has already been registered.

I agree. Sorry, what I meant was multiple keywords. If they are getting 30,000 hits per month is that good enough to resell?

If they are getting around 5,000 hits per month should I drop the domain or is that good enough for a minisite? Thanks.

i don't think the keyword tool actually shows hits per month, it shows searches per month. also keep in mind that just because the keywords in your head are being searched, doesn't mean a searcher will visit your website.

there are many many factors that you'd need to consider.

There are other factors ie: domain extension, advertiser competition, estimated CPC. I'm sure there are many more than that as well. :)

When using the tool always use the exact setting and select the options show all under "columns to display". Top left where it says "results are tailored to" make sure you edit that appropriately.

Don't make the mistake of registering on traffic alone. An example, one keyword combo gets 5000 searches with a CPC of $.08 and a second keyword combo gets 500 searches but the CPC is $5 I would reg the second.

But you may not - and that's not wrong.

The key is to stick to a budget and don't go over. That budget should include money for registering,hosting,mini-site,link-building,other promotions, and renewing the name next year.

This is a good forum, always feel free to ask. I do.

As for the original question (sorry I strayed again). I recently regged one (cctld) with 18,000 searches and hope to make money with it in second year.

I probably wouldn't reg anything less than about 2500 unless it has high CPC and little competition.

Good Luck.

Anytime. I believe that's what the forum is here for. :)

I have had success selling dot com names to end users with as low as 100 exact searches per month but to be on the safe side I would probably go for at least 500 exact searches.

Make sure that the phrase actually makes sense - sometimes phrases may show large numbers of searches but not actually make sense as the words are in the wrong order.

Just sold Hurricane Window Film /com tonight - only had 590 exact searches but £2.71 for the UK search area so perhaps that was why the end user buyer was so quick to grab it off me.
