Google buys Doubleclick

Ok, so while still a n00b, I imagine you guys have very interesting opinions on the subject. How will this affect the domain business, if at all?

i suspect 3.1 billion also gauges the potential loss involved in having Microsoft own them, since MSFT was also bidding.

It definitely takes that into account - they were in a bidding war with Microsoft for Doubleclick.

Also, $3.1 billion was considered to be a "healthy" price as I read in another article. Doubleclick revenues are reported to be around $300 million/year
