The Future of Google from a Black Hat SEO perspective and why you should sell your GOOG stocks… for now.
SEOs that try to beat the search giant everyday know Google will soon face a major challenge not easy to solve: Google Bowling. That, on top of the Click Fraud advance and the hostility of TELCOS and MEDIA companies’ big bosses leaves only one way out.

I don't think I agree about pulling out of their stock. Google states directly in their patent that nothing can be done to actually hurt the rankings but many things won't help. I think they will be able to fix the already known link bombing techniques with ease. If their algos can detect a cloaker within a few days they should have no problem detecting link bombing in the future.

is'nt the future quite interesting ?............... :)

It can detect a badly disguised cloaker. Not all of them... there are millions of cloaked sites, of course they can detect some :)

I think most of what you said is ridiculous. Google is a highly innovative and experience company that knows what they are doing. They are by far the best in what they do, and will do whatever they need to do to ensure this for the future. If this means setting up a new team to more thoroughly investigate website bans and "google bowling", im sure they wont heisitate to do so. Google is to much of a powerhouse to let a few "se scam artists" cause a downfall in stock values.

Andrew, why do you say it's ridiculous? You know that there are always ways to close something, and many other to open it. There are many ways of finding something, and other ways of hiding it.
This is true not just for this case. How many times have you heard that something is unbreakable, just to see it cracked 1 day after? There are always someone smarter than us :)
Now, don't say that my words are ridiculous. I know what I'm talking about :)

Quite emotional post. IMO.
Saying, google is the powerhouse, they are the best, they can do anything, they can stop anything, they have no problems. They are the best. Is n't it a bit emotional about google.

Dont really understand what your trying to say there...

But yes, they are the best in their field. And I dont believe I said anywhere that they have no problems. What I said was thay they have the resources to eliminate blunders like this that have, and will continue, to reach them.

Dont take it as a personal attack or offense on you :) , but I feel strongly that your theories are just that, and will continue to be just that: theories. I did not say Google was unbreakable, I did say though, that they will be able to recover from these miniscule attempts to cheat the system.

But Andrew, not everything in the world depends on money! I will give 3 examples:

- RSA security once made a contest to proove that their x bit key was unbreakable. In a couple of hours it was cracked.

- That cd audio protection that wouldn't let you play on your PC, to avoid copies. Cracked with some ink or tape.

- Windows XP copy protection, that would be unbreakable. Cracked even before getting released.

Never underestimate human nature. Not all money on the world can fix some things. It's our world. What you said it's true: they will continue to reach them. But some will get away too. That is how our technology evolves!

Andrew, these are not theories! Cloaking for example, is a big industry, not some tiny bugs to squash. Even Google directory, powered by Dmoz, have tons of examples:
http://www.google.com/Top/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Promotion/Cloaking/?il=1

Technology never stops. You protect something, and someone will break it. It as always been like this, since ever! The human mind is a incredible machine.

I am not basing my opinon on Google's bank account.

But yes, you are correct- some will continue to get away, and I agree with this. However, not enough to effect the companies value or economic stability,.

I am aware of cloaking and all of the other techniques you mentioned. When I refered to theories, I was not talking about these. I was talking about your predictions to what they would lead to. That they are, and will always remain just theories :imho: .

Back to the orginal article. Not bad, but a lot of grammatical errors.

Oh, I didn't mention that it would affect Google's value :) That is really a theory, and I agree. I was just talking about the impossibility of having a true clean search engine, unless you hand edit everything :)

Bye!

The whole idea of setting the competitor website up is nothing new. It's been done with AdSense, and it will be done with Google as a search engine in general. I've read multiple stories of people losing their AdSense accounts due to someone deliberately mass-clicking their ads to put them out of business. Unfortunately, so long as Google remains this trigger-happy, it's pretty much digging its own grave. I think what's really needed is action aimed at taking down the perpetrators, not the victims.

hi, Andrew

what you have written is absolutely fine and i do agree with you.you have written that google is highly innovative and experienced. but this is also true one day google will be cracked and loose its value. according to my experience, with google spam an organization can do the best online marketing.

when google spam big sites, gives lead to newtechnique for the spam sites which would teach others to make good business without taking the help of google and this prticular experience will occur very soon.

cheers

spam will always be a problem....just like the dozens of other global problems like terrorism, wars, earthquakes, new diseases and so on ....... there's nothing in this world thats problem free. now, when you become as big and important as google, it is natural that you'll start attracting even more problems.

but the fact remains, that google does the best job of the entire lot of search engines (yes, much better than msn search).

There is no doubt about it. It isn't the fastest to crawl and index (MSN is), but it's still the one who can clean more serp's spam.
