So do the YPN/Adsense ads just have to have different colors, or do they have to have different sizes (what was meant by "layout")?

Drastically different colors I believe is all that might be required. Which is bad since blending helps with click through rates

Don't know Jorge, i have glanced through it but still need to take some time to review it more carefully...

it seems this only affects websites that use more than one ad network. first time i read through that i thought it meant that adsense had to really stand out on the website, and cant be integrated/embedded. whewph.

Another new clause in the Adsense terms:

Website publishers may not display Google ads on web pages with content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content. Please see our DMCA policy for more information.

But nobody here's scraping anyone else's content, right :)???

From what I gather as long as they don't look similar (same colors ect) You should be fine. But to be on the safe side you should email Google, and get there feedback on your site and how it looks to make sure it complies to the current TOS.

I really don't see anything exciting about this change .... We were never supposed to have competing ads on the same pages.

No not at all they is still encouraged.

This is more than just on the same pages though, with the new TOS say right now you have Adsense on your main page, but YPN on sub pages using the same format/colors. That is now against Adsense TOS.

Any ad now that looks likes Adsense using same colors/layout is not against TOS for adsense, you have to make sure they look very different for them to still be compliant with TOS now.

At least that is how I am reading it, and others as well. I could be wrong though.
