domain Good keywords, bad hyphen. Poker related

I picked up freeonline-poker.com
Great keywords with 'free online poker' getting 368,000 searchs a month. However, the hyphen looks a little out of place.
Do hyphens harm SEO placement? If so does it depend where in the domain they are placed?

In my opinion it all depends on other things, like the developing of the website, it's pagerank, etc. In my opinion low $xx to mid $xx undeveloped.
