Another nice Golf related name - Vaxis, Saggydimes & BenFranklin are all at the party with 2 days to go, currently the bid is at $ 2,081 - I think this will be a nice one to watch - What do you rekon, how much do you think it is worth ?

The domain name isn't the greatest IMO, but the stats are impressive. I would expect the final price to be about double what it is right now.

I quite don't understand why someone let a good running site drop :td:
Only one reason I could think is they must have something lot bigger to do then forgot this gem behind.

I'm surprised you don't like the name too - I think this name has excellent development potential - Golf is big bucks :)

That's another reason I like to post snapname drops, its a good chance to get input from other peoples perspective. :)

GolfMallorca.com has just dropped too - not much links and no PR but still has potential to be an earner IMO - it would probably get a little traffic from GolfinMallorca.com too.

The domain golfcoursereview.com would be better IMO.

Average name, nice stats. I reckon it will stop at $4k or so.

you are obviously looking at it as GolfClub as in the building/course

I was thinking the potential would be better for a review site for clubs - ie irons/woods etc :) They are not cheap :hehe:

just checked and it has an overture of 334 with extension too probably for the same reason ?.

I've often wondered the same but I assume there are a slew of reasons; Death, they forgot, contact email expired and they never received the renewal domains, don't have the funds to renew...

Or in my case, last year I was in the middle of a combat zone(Iraq) and a couple of my most precious domains expired. There was really nothing I could do about it.

There are so many different reason - like when someone reg's a name for 10 years - alot can change in 10 years.

It could also be because they may be set to auto renew but the credit cards details may no longer be correct - I think this happened in the case of all those .....world.com domains.

Yeah, I really didn't care at the time.

me = "Dang, i have a domain expiring soon" (loud rocket explosion goes off nearby)
me again = domain? what's a domain? :)

Yeah, I bet situations like that put alot of things in a very different perspective !

Here's a few other nice previous Golf sales - I am not implying it is worth equal amounts as these are nicer names IMO :)

GolfCourses.com $55,750 Moniker / Domain Systems 2004
MyGolf.com $20,500 Pool 2004
DiscountGolfShoes.com $10,250 Moniker / Domain Systems 2004
GolfResorts.com $60,800 6/14/2005 Moniker/DomainSystems 2005
GolfSimulators.com $41,500 SnapNames 2/28/06

I understood the domain to have to do with golf clubs (the things you swing), but I still think that a site dealing with reviewing golf courses would be better.

Clubs...courses....same kingdom, different genres..both near and dear to my heart. The difference is most players always think new clubs will help their game...especially if playing a new course. So they read reviews and buy new clubs just like the pros use and dream about fancy courses they'll not get to play. On the other hand, while the clubs are an easy candy-store buy, who wouldn't want to play the local (and distant) courses with the best reviews? I guess I'm saying I'd love to have either name....especially with the new season here. $3000 or so for golfclubreview.com.

Strong domain name IMHO. There are loads of golf clubs out there and such a review website would be very helpful. You're probably not going to get a better name for a site like that. I think it will pull in the range of $4k-$5k.

GolfClubReview.com is not a great name by itself. It has to be developed in order to gain golf market share. IMHO GolfClubReviewS.com(plural version) is far better off to be great golf review site.

I don't know whats in their mind but they're certainly cornering the market. Capture all possible names and command high prices for niche market web developers.

I think the plural may pull more but this domain isn't as bad off as some singular domain names would be. I think GolfClubReview.com works just fine and it's not a necessity to have the "s" to make it sound right.
