GoldenFeel.com vs. WinterGreen.com

Ladies and gentlemen, when I read the discussion of WinterGreen, I can not help some kind of beautiful feeling induced by the name. It is inspiring and vivid.
How about Golden Feel? A kind of royal, luxurious, treasurable, splendid feeling caused by best sceneries, goods, craftworks, services, lyrics or beauties.
The search by google of keyword "Golden feel" generated:
47,400,000 for golden feel. (0.06 seconds)
Do you think this name is valuable compared with WinterGreen.com?

If yes, please tell me. If no, please teach me.

Thank you for any of your comment.
Every one is welcomed to the discussion.

.

Hi, I am a newbie and on a rather steep learning curve but I will give it a go :guilty:

When I first saw the thread about WinterGreen I immediately thought uumm very nice name, I had'nt heared of it before - I then went to http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ and typed in wintergreen.com - No spaces, words together and included the extension.

The result was - 1111 for wintergreen.com (with ext) while overture is only a guide it did tell me that alot of people were searching for it and it would be very likely to get regular traffic.

I then went to Google and typed in "Wintergreen" with no spaces and include the exclamation marks - the result was 2,590,000 for "wintergreen" which is alot.
The first result on Google was WinterGreen Resort and I "assumed" that this is probably why there are so many searches done for it.

(Even though there are many companies using wintergreen in their domain - ie - Golf, Real Estate, Research, a winery, 2 resorts and many many more )

This also makes it more likely to be valuable as there are more potential end users who "may" be interested in aquiring it + tourism is a massive market.

Even without all this it is a very nice sounding "brandable" domain IMO and I have seen other names that do not seem as nice (this is also very subjective) that have sold for alot of money and have been posted at www.DNJournal.com.

comparing it to GoldenFeel which also does sounds nice (although GoldenTouch.com would be alot nicer IMO - it is for sale for offers over $10,000 incidently) your name lacks a few of these things.

If you do a search in Google - you should really do it like this - "GoldenFeel" or "golden Feel" to give you a better idea of the term. This is something that I have only recently learned from someone here at NP's - ( Thanks :) )

"Golden Feel" result in Google is - 467
"GoldenFeel" result is - 7

Overture with extension is - 0
for GoldenFeel.com
GoldenFeel
Golden Feel

While these tools are only a guide - it DOES NOT mean the name is of no value or not very "brandable" - it just may be harder to find a potential end user/buyer for it.

At the end of the day a domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it !

Please note I am still a newbie and have alot to learn :) But I hope this helps, hopefully some more experienced members will also share their view on it ??

The results you are getting are for pages that contain the words golden and feel on the page but they could be seperated by paragraphs and in any order.

Try again with quotation marks around the search term. "golden feel" search will return pages that contain the two words together on the page and in that order.

Goldenfeel.com does not compare to wintergreen.com in my estimation.

wintergreen ( ) n. A low-growing, creeping evergreen plant (Gaultheria procumbens) of North America, having solitary nodding white flowers, aromatic.

goldenfeel ( ) ?? a combination of two words that sounds nice

Thank you for teaching me,gazzip and cera. At the first sight of WinterGreen. I forgot the word is a kind of botany.
So it is sure Golden feel will not be better than WinterGreen. But how about the value 'GoldenFeel.com' should be?
Could you give some idea?

More importantly, WinterGreen is a popular location in VA.

"Teaching" is too a strong a word - I am new too all this too, I need a teacher to help me make some sales !! :td:

Domains are so "subjective" - No hard, set in concrete values to them but the more traffic and the more possible end users to sell to makes it more likely it will sell for a better price.

Even a great domain will only sell for $50 if that's what you ask for it !

and if you let it expire, it'll go for regfee :sold: :'(

LOL

that's why it's so important to promote one's domains to an end user. I'd think of the 12 month period for a domain as a window of opportunity for making a sale. 365 days to make a sale ! sounds like a lot of time for a reasonable domain.
