GoDaddy charges $8.99 for WHOIS protection. Is that per domain or for all your domains in your account?

When you register a domain, the end cost for privacy should be reduced to 4.99/domain. If you register 3 or more, the fee is waived on all domains. Be sure to add the protection to your cart before checkout. The fee will be waived during checkout.

Thanks. I was reading the official GoDaddy page but it wasn't really clear. The sales pitches are bigger than anything else.

It can be a hassle to navigate through GoDaddy's checkout process, but if you want the privacy you have to deal with the onslaught of "UNBELIEVABLE OFFERS".

my first reaction is 'so what' re the offer pages.....
my second is to point out that this is not so. You can put eg 3 .com names straight into the shopping cart, go to shopping cart and then alter the privacy settings on the 3 names inside the shopping cart.

When you get 3 or more domains, privacy is free. Is that only for the 1st year or forever? Doesn't mention how long on GoDaddy's site.

free privacy is only for new domains, not for renewal

yes it is only for 1 year and then the whois price becomes expensive, so reg your 3 names on GD for 1 year and then transfer them to namecheap where whois renewals are much cheaper.

I thought GoDaddy wasn't gonna be that generous. I also remember reading that there are others out there that give free private rego instead of charging you. Does anyone know who they are & if they're any good?

Moniker charges $1 per name for privacy which is almost free
You can get a PO box for $40 per year and use that address for all
domain correspondence.
