GoDaddy...What the heck?!

Tried to reg MyMapleLeafs.com at GoDaddy. Paid $7.14 through Paypal. Got an email saying there was a problem and that they will be giving me a full or partial refund. No problem, I thought.

Turns out they refund me $1.96. WTF is that all about? Why don't I get my full $7.14 refund? Doesn't make any sense. Haven't contacted them yet. I'm too pissed. If I don't get a full refund or credit that will be the end of me and GD.

Anyone else have this experience? (never bother checking whether there was a similar thread here at NPs about this).

That is weird, I'd suggest giving godaddy an email or phone call. I'm sure they will fix this problem or refund you your full ammount.

No, I didn't get the name...just the partial refund.

I mean, sometimes in GD when adding website tonight basic or whatever service that may cost you about $4 it reduces the domain price to $1.99 or so.

Maybe they just refunded you the amount corresponding strictly to the domain. That happened to me once and it was solved after contacting them by mail. I just had to cancel the website tonight service related to the cancelled domain.

Its a bit weird, but if that is what happened to you, it can be solved.

How did you get $7.14/domain? The lowest with the coupon is $7.20. Like said above, they might have deducted some cost because of services you subscribed to? The best way to handle the problem is talk to them on the phone. Try calling them, it might work out better than it seems.

When I reg 4.19 name in GD, one of them met a problem, and only refund me around 1.81
I do not think they will refund other service fee.

thats a weird thing to do, i dont know what happened there because i dont use go daddy for buying domains!!

Not sure as I have always been refunded the full amount I paid if GD could not get me the domain name
