Are Godaddy valuations just designed to lure the unsuspecting in to purchase domains ? Recently I noticed that F1 .xyz was available for around $250, Godaddys valuation was around $5,400 ! It would appear that someone has reg'd it BUT Godaddys valuation is now down to $1,700 !

By the by, freevaluator reckon it's worth less than $50 ! I know that most if not all domain valuation sites valuations are to be taken with a pinch of salt but............

I completely ignore any valuation tool figure now, got burned when I first started.

Godaddy is OK for the comparable sales that they show, but as you say take any supposed valuation tool with a (large) pinch of salt...

It looks like they had nice high valuation until someone grabbed it, someone has bit and they have then lowered it......would be interesting to see if there an explanation for the big drop

Use comparable sales. It should help.

For Godaddy the keyword is more important than TLD. For example I have CRM.mom

Go Daddy Valuation is circa 4k USD but according to me the value is 1/10

The thing is if you use this domain for a correct project, the valuation could be 100 times of it.
