Dynadot โ€” .com Transfer

GoDaddy still sucks.

I thought ICANN told GD that it can't force their 60 day wait period on domains?

I just got a transfer and was FORCED to agree to these terms to accept the domains.

I have read and agree to the Domain Name Change of Registrant Agreement. I understand and agree that, by confirming this Change of Registrant, I am authorizing GoDaddy.com, Inc. to reject all requests to transfer this domain to another registrar for a 60-day period.
You must accept this agreement.
I understand that, if I want to transfer this domain to another registrar during this 60-day period, I should decline this Change of Registrant, and I should instead make arrangements to transfer the domain to the new registrar and make any necessary changes after the domain has been transferred.
You must accept this agreement.

Screw you PARSONS. I will continue to hate your company and continue to move out every domain that goes into my account. You're a POS egotistical maniac.

yea what is the deal with this, I bought a $x,xxx domain from tdnam, and a 3 weeks later, I got a nice offer, I had to wait it out, and lost a buyer, while godaddy, got a nice payday for someone elses domain.

IMHO = In My Honest Opinion, IMO = In My Opinion

Anyway, I have most of my domains in godaddy. Thinking about transferring them to Name.com as they are the cheapest registrar after godaddy, I think..

Right tdnam taking over a month to process transactions is a bit ridiculous!

GoDaddy is not domainers friendly... I sold a domain name through tdnam last month, and had to wait for a month to get paid.
They also like to suspend domain name without notice, just like what happened to seclists.org
And also be very careful when they send you an e-mail to verify your whois information, because if you don't follow the instruction in that e-mail, your domain will be deleted and goes to tdnam for sale.

Tim Ziegler learned this the hard way. He founded the site FamilyAlbum.com. Someone filed a complaint that his whois data was invalid. GoDaddy responded by sending him an email asking him to confirm or correct his whois registration data. When he didn't respond in time, GoDaddy took the extraordinary step of deleting the domain name he had paid for and selling it to someone (possibly the same guy who filed the whois complaint) who had already placed a backorder on FamilyAlbum.Com. GoDaddy refused to return the domain name to its rightful owner. There is a good writeup at Domain Name Wire, along with a GoDaddy response where they disclaim responsibility. DomainNameWire also asked other registrars what they would have done. None of them had the GoDaddy policy of "send an email then delete the domain if no response comes in time". If you hold domains at GoDaddy, you better not go on any extended vacations, suffer hospitalization, or use a spam filter which might drop that critical email!

That is scary, what if you were in a car accident, like nobody but me knows about my domains, the holder needs to get some benefit of the doubt, domainers have this rep of being squatters etc.... we invested our money while others laughed, and then they want to steal domains when they see they have value.

Moniker. For years now I have been moving my main portfolio there. 90% is already there but I get new domains arleady at places like GD or Namecheap. Just sucks they are still doing essentially the same thing forcing after a push for a domain to be held for 60 days.

Run to Moniker my friends...as fast as you can without whataver domains you have.

I would love to do that but Moniker seems to be not able to transfer .de out of godaddy. The only name I have left .....

Is there a transfer fee out of Godaddy?

who do you suggest?

I haven't had any problems with Godaddy yet...

Today changed account of 2 domains, first one they didn't ask to tick anything, second one needed those two ticks. No idea why, but that doesn't make my life more difficult in any way :)
