GoDaddy push issue

Hi everyone,

I sold PersonalCloud.fr here at the auctions. So I would push the domain to the buyer GoDaddy account but I can't.

The option "Account change" is grayed and I can't do anything. It's the first time I encounter that issue with GoDaddy.

Maybe it's because of the .fr extension. For my others domain names, I have no issues to do that.

If someone have a solution, it would be great !

You can't push a .fr domain. Like many other ccTLDs. Please get acquainted with the procedures.
You need to provide the EPP code to the buyer, than it's up to him/her to initiate the transfer from the registrar of their choice.

Never do an account change with godaddy. First thing you need to do is unlock the domain, secondly request an EPP Code via email and third enter that EPP code to the account where the domain is being transferred. I have done this many times so just as long as you follow those instructions you'll be good!

You don't have to send any email to get the EPP code.

When you login into your Godaddy account, click on the launch button next to the domains. Next, click on the domain name that you want the EPP code of.

Then, click on the "email my code" link under the "authorization code" section.

Within few seconds/minutes, the EPP code would be sent to the email address you have listed as the administrative contact of the domain.

Account change is for pushing domains godaddy to godaddy from what I understand. Gerem is doing a domain transfer from another domain registrar to godaddy so there cannot be an account change option

No no it's a GoDaddy push that I want !

My mistake well GD to GD try contacting their hotline if all else fails. Have them do the push via phone / chat and afterwards they should be able to process that for you. GL

You can't "push" this ccTLD.

Actually, some registrars allow you to "push" ccTLDs. I have seen it with .co.uk for example.
What really happens is this: the domain is allocated to another user account, you have control of the domain.
But the domain holder in whois will remain unchanged ! Legally you don't own the domain. It remains in the name of the seller.
Generally, US registrars are not good for ccTLDs. The rules vary from one extension to another, but they don't bother to understand the procedures.
