I was just have a weird experience with Godaddy. I was ordering a domain name (Bitcoin****Cash.com) with GD and after successful transaction like always I received an invoice confirmation email that my order have been paid. But until the next 4-5 minutes the domain never add to my GD account. And then I quick login to my Uniregistry account and I checked the name was available to register. I don't wanna take a risk to wait from Godaddy about what happen then I continue to order the name with Uniregistry and all successfully done only in few seconds. I called my Bank and they said GD have already charged my creditcard, I don't understand why this can happen? Anyone have ever same experience ? How to ask GD to refund since they have charged my Creditcard.

I've had this issue with another registrar. Sometimes they put a manual hold on the domain and then email you asking to get in contact. It's really annoying and i've paid twice for a domain for the same reason you did. I'd just give GD a call and ask them to refund.

I only use registrars who allow payment from a pre-funded account. This seems to save all these problems.

@Ollie3000 @Kuffy thanks for the info :) I never had this issue with any registrar before :D This experience is not just annoying, I wonder What makes the domain registration hold but the payment has been received.

BTW doesn't GD have LiveChat? I see no Livechat button on their site.

The GD chat is only available sometimes, also you would be best speaking to them. If you do chat, then save the transcript in case they don't refund you.

The domain was probably owned by someone else and you purchased it from them via GoDaddy. The domain will transfer to your account in a few days when the seller transfers it over.

EDIT:

It was sold 24 hours ago on Sedo apparently. Someone beat you to the punch.

But that's not the domain I was registered, I have said above.... while I wait about 4-5 minutes the domain still never added to my GD account then I login to my Uni account and I checked the domain still available to register. I quickly re-register it and now it save on my Uni account. It's two-words phrase bitcoin name that I was registered :)

Oh I see, it was Bitcoin + 1word + Cash or something like that. My mistake.

Well GD can be buggy, glad you secured the name at Uniregistry.

GD is not realtime, they seem to be more buggy that others. Pretty much anywhere I just check whois to make sure, some are really instant. I like to time regs by hitting the submit button at a specific time count and then checking whois to see how many seconds it took to manually reg.

hand hood hind held hued hyed LOL

Thanks @usernamex I am a newbie on GD and only have 2 domains there ... supposed to be 3 if that was not a problem :D I guess I'l stay with NS and Uni.

You guys might had an experience with Namecheap? They used to be give a big promotions Transfer-In every February (except this year)? and also Cyber Monday. I guess a hundreds domains processed at the same time but I didn't had any issue at all. But I wish they add GoogleAuth 2FA beside sending text code, sometimes I have to wait for 2-3 minutes or repeated the request. But overall I love Namecheap and their great Kinds Support Team.
