I like to leave things to the last minute, including renewing domains (stupid, I know).
I have enough domains at GoDaddy that they appointed me a Premier Services Agent.
I have no need for this. I have been getting emails from him telling me that I have domains that need renewing, and if I get him to renew them for me, it will save me money. I can't see how, so I have just ignored him.
Then he phoned a few weeks back, wanted to get to know me and my domain business. But what he really wanted to do was renew my domains for me. He admitted there was no advantage to me, the price is the same. And he agreed it is actually easier for me to pop into the account and renew them, rather than ask someone else to do it.
He ended up literally begging, so he could get the commission or whatever.
Great business model GoDaddy!
