Anybody have any experience with this?

After purchasing a couple of domains from a recent GoDaddy premium auction, I was contacted by phone & email from the 'Premier Services Account Manager' asking if I was interested in help in " supporting my investment strategy"

Having replied I've just received another email saying:

"I need to validate your account (a one-time code, followed by a two-factor authentication code). Normally, this can sometimes be done via email, but for your account’s security—and to get you up and running with my team—it does require a brief phone call for this initial verification. It should only take a few minutes, and then we’ll be all set to move forward however you prefer (including email for everything else).

Is this normal practice? Sounds a bit odd to me..

Sounds like a scam.

Yes, that's their standard procedure. They can't access your GoDaddy account to add you to Premier Services without it.

However, out of an abundance of caution, I would confirm that they are actually with @GoDaddy before proceeding by calling GoDaddy's customer support number on their website.

Congratulations on your purchases!

I agree with @Bravo Mod Team.

Don't just pick up and share codes over the phone.

Follow the procedure as mentioned above.

Let me guess, they were promoting GoDaddy DDC during the conversation?

It hasn't been mentioned yet but I'm pretty sure the whole thing is a big sales pitch

Hi Gary,
Premier Services helps power the portfolios of many successful investors at GoDaddy, with assistance usually ranging from portfolio management to Auction strategies. The team is highly experienced, with many members having helped domain investor clients for over a decade.

However, we understand the skepticism. lease feel free to forward your email to [email protected], and we'll make sure you get connected with the Premier Services team. Alternatively, you can reach out to our support team: https://godaddy.com/help/contact-us
