What is GoDaddy's New Premier Services?
I have been godaddy's executive account, but today received email from someone for New Premier Services. What are the differences?

=================email received===============
Hey,

I Wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your new representative with our Premier Services Team. You can reach me directly via email [email protected] or at my direct extension 480.505.8885 xxxxx. My current hours are listed in my signature below. I will be following up with you shortly via phone call to discuss your account and your plans. I will now be your central point of contact at Godaddy for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.

Also, most of clients have me process all of there renewals once a month instead of the system billing you many times spread out through the month. If you would like me to do this for you as well, let me know and we can get that scheduled for you also.
If there was anything special that your previous representative did to handle your account please let me know as well.

My Hours are Sun 12:30PM-9PM, Mon, Tues, Thurs 9:30AM-6PM, Wed 1PM-9:30PM MST

Sincerely,

xxx
Premier Services

Of course they want to "consolidate" those renewals--anything to keep us away from the renewal coupons.

they split the former executive accounts into two categories. premier is now what you have if you spend 2k or less per year. if you spend 18k or more per year you remain 'executive'. i guess the idea that is that the executive get a lot more one on one where as the premier are now instructed to call into the main line and have one person handling a lot more accounts than those who manage the executive accounts.

This sucks, I also had a VIP executive account where I had my own account specialist that I could always call or email, and now that info plus his contact info is missing from my account.

Now I guess I am back with the common people where I have to call customer service if I have a problem, oh the horror.....the horror! :'(

I'm in the same boat. I just noticed that my VIP Account Executive is missing from my account also. I never got any eMail explaining what is going on. The post on Domain Name Wire was dated January 24th. Which is about the time from which I never had any response from my Account Manager, even after many frustration eMails to him, he refused to respond. Nada.

OK. I only have about 150 domains there now, which are all either purchases from their auctions or purchases from 3rd parties, all of which are waiting for their 60 day lock to expire before I transfer them out. Apart from a handful of .cc domains where GD has the cheapest prices I could find. So it looks like I will never qualify for Premier Services anymore, even if I still qualify on the spending limits. Luckily I don't need much support anymore. Have you tried to get support from their Auctions staff? It takes just under a week to get a reply. Awful service. Just awful.

I've been done with Godaddy for about 2 years already. It's taken that long to get all my domains out.

Even though I have an Executive Account I never really talked to my guy or had him do anything besides the domain lockdown for my entire account. Occasional calls about let's discuss your account, goals, let's set you up on automatic renewals etc... which I'm not interested in. I prefer to manage everything myself and be left alone and just like it for the extra lockdown security feature.

Adam Dicker said on his video block "who wants to be the next big registrar?" , looks Godaddy falling apart. No more Moniker. I also wonder who fills this gap in industry.

Ok. I just got enrollment email as a Gold Member even though I don't have enough qualifying domains. So this rule about domains/revenue must be either/or rather than must have both.

It's just a rebranding of GoDaddy's VIP Executuve Accounts. You get an Account Manager.

Got an email explaining the gold member thing a few days ago.

As Stub said, it's just a renaming for the vip exec accounts.

I am glad i don't have one of these VIP, Gold, Platinum, Exclusive, Premiere, etc. account, but a simple crap account. I don't want to talk about what i want and don't want. I know exactly what i want: working promo codes, a safe secure site and and easy to use interface. The rest i can do myself.

@GiftedDomains - My main reason to use my VIP Executive Accounts if for the support, for the very few times you need it. Support from the GoDaddy Website is basically terrible, giving you canned responses time after time. Which means you have to enter a week long conversation before anything is done about your original inquiry. Support from your Account Representative, is generally responsive and good. I hope that continues under the Gold Membership. It also gives you someone higher up to do some arm-twisting if necessary. I think you can field all the negatives within the first couple of emails. So if you qualify, you should take it, imho.

@ovizunshop - You need 250 domains registered at GoDaddy (there are some restrictions) and to have spent more than $2000 with them in the previous six months
