yep, all my domains got cancelled even though auto renew was on...

because i paid for the domains w/ paypal originally - i had a credit card on file from other purchases so I thought that would be used.

The auto renew feature is very vague... i didn't know it had to be the same method of payment ;-(

you may still have the time to get them back by paying $80, if it is just expired.

If they just expired you can renew them manually with your credit card, for just the regular renewal fee. Only if they've been deleted from your account already do you need to pay the redemption fee.

How many domains are we talking here?
When did they expire? (Not when were they cancelled?)

Starting at 90 days out, they constantly send you renewal warnings, every 15-30 days or so, and then more frequently as it gets closer. Did you not get any of those e-mails?

op probably got the emails but assumed that the auto-renew feature would auto-renew the domains. i usually go in and manually renew mine as opposed to letting the auto-renew feature do it. better safe than sorry!
