advice GoDaddy Grace Period [changed?]

I started a transfer out of GD about 1 week after expiration, it failed to Uni.

Now I am on the phone, and the rep says "when the system catches up and the expire they are expired" - I think he is trying to communicate there is no transfer out grace period. I just asked again explicitly, and he said there is no grace period he is aware of - it's just when the system catches up.

Every one is renewable at $80 but some only 2 weeks expired.

Can anyone establish what the current policy is at GD for expired domain renewal grace period?

Some say "Expired - Registry Redemption" and some "Expired - Recoverable" all are $80.

So after being on hold, he comes back and let's me renew them at GD for $30 for 2 domains ugh, I just went for it. I don't get why I can't transfer these out. Done with GD for now.
