GoDaddy free hosting

Just had a question about godaddy free web hosting. I was going to use the free hosting to get a minisite up and running, but I did not realize that godaddy puts up their own banner on the webpage. Additionally, your google adsense cannot show up.

I understand GD is just trying to make it worth their while, but is there a way to get around this (get their banner off and my adsense on) without paying? I doubt it, but I would appreciate people's comments.

Yep. The banners are to help pay for the costs of maintaining the servers and paying the staff. Geocities is another example. Look at it this way, the banner ad is paying for your hosting.
