Hello my friends,

before I ask here something I try to find the answer on the forum, but because these "domain lock" topic is really complicated for me I must ask so directly. So far I could read to transfer a domain from one registrant to another it must be unlocked, a new hand reg. domain is locked for 60 days and I must wait... But now I was "playing" on my GoDaddy acc/domains and on the "additional settings" I just turned the switch "domain lock" to "OFF" :wideyed:

It is a brand new hand reg. domain but now there stand that the domain lock is OFF... Now I am really confused, can I now transfer the domain to another registrant or what is going on?

P.S. Sorry for my bad English and sorry for the silly question :bag:

No you can't transfer it out but you can push it to another Godaddy account.

Domain Lock will block it from being transferred to another registrar, but it will be blocked anyway because it is less than 60 days old. You can still sell it and transfer to another registrant though.

This is normal. But it still won't let you transfer away yet. :)

It means you can push that domain to another account at Godaddy, but you can not transfer out within 60 days :)

There are 3 domain "locks", as it were:

1 - the ICANN mandated 60-day lock, counting from date of registration or transfer-in from another registrar. You can NOT ask GoDaddy to disable this lock any time sooner.

2 - the new ICANN mandated 60-day lock, which is turned on following any changes made to registrant's data. You CAN ask GoDaddy to disable this sooner.

3 - the registrant activated indefinite lock, which can be turned on or off at your discretion.

If any one (or more) of these locks is in force, the domain can NOT be transferred-out. However, it can be pushed between accounts at GoDaddy.
