I think Google is displaying different ad promos depending on location.

On my Google sponsored ad, it's 7.49 showing. Sad.

I already cleared my cache and all cookies, and yet the promo still shows 7.49. I tried using Google France, Brazil, Canada, they show the discount, but when i click on the sponsor ad to take me to the Godaddy page, the discount returns back to 7.49, and i'm not even logged-in to Godaddy yet.

The only remaining possible explanation to this is that this promo is somehow 'geo-targetted' of some sort.

I don't want to login to my Godaddy account using anonymous proxy, coz my password might get intercepted.

By the way, isn't "gofx4004ca" an old code??? I googled that code and it showed up as early as September. Meaning the 75,000 limit has not yet been used up till now?

After doing the google search, add &gl=us at the end of the url. It will give you US search results along with the US targeted ads.

Wow, that DID work in forcing Google to show US ads. The 4.95 promo ad DID show up. Never thought of that.

I clicked the 4.95, added the domain i want to transfer, and Godaddy did show the discount on my shopping cart as 5.13. Perfect so far. But when i logged into my account, Godaddy erased the discount and returned it back to 7.49. Sad.

I guess those promos were old codes i probably have used before i could no longer remember if i did use them.

But rep on the Google search trick.

With GoDaddy, I think the cheapest you'll ever get is being in the Discount Domain Club plus using a 30% off coupon. I did that a couple of months ago and renewed a bunch for about $13 each. If you're not in the club, then 30% off coupon, whatever the regular renewal rate.

Checking Dynadot, have a few .me over there, I see renewals are $19.99 plus whatever coupons they might have, if any.
