Need a .net coupen code

It helps to know if it's for a new registration, a renewal, or a transfer in from another registrar.

As mentioned above, GDDB776 should work for a new registration (I haven't tested it for renewals recently) ... also DNF2 should work for new registrations (for $6.99 + ICANN fee of $0.18).

Also, if you haven't used them yet, gravity5 may still be working for $5.17 inclusive, and 299BUYCOM also worked for a colleague for a new .net a week ago. Keep in mind that these 2 codes are time limited, one per account and have a limited number of uses so they may expire very soon (if they haven't already) but it's worth trying them.

You're welcome, and thank you for adding rep. Just for the benefit of everyone, what TLD did you use it for; .com, .net ...? A new reg or a renewal?

Cheers,
Rob

I need to renew about 6 domains

Try CJCTLD749 to renew .net domains ($7.49 each, per year).

I tried a few of the codes, received a message that the codes were invalid.

OK, try PROMO749 for your .com renewal.

So, bottom line, I understand there is no decent .US renewal code/coupon available. Thanks, Go daddy. If I am wrong, please correct me. I guess my WWWE.US domain will just have to die on the vine as I will NOT spend $19.95 to renew it.

There really aren't too many codes that work with .us renewals. The ones for various percentages off usually work if you have any other domain business that you are doing at the same time to get up to the required volume... but the other business will have to be in tlds that there aren't better coupons for to make it worthwhile most of the time. But, and don't get me wrong here... Godaddy drives me crazy with running slow, timing out, glitching, failures to respond to support request, etc.,etc., etc.... but I think the biggest reason they don't have any major discounts on .us is the cost to them of .US renewals, which don't qualify for the tld holder's promos. Anyway, you might try the following codes; doesn't hurt to check them out:

WALLET30
SLAM30
CHH3

Or, OYH2, cjchea30, or CHH6 if you can bring up your initial total of 30.00 should give 5.00 off.

I believe POSTER8 or MTECH9 should still give 20% orders of 50.00 or more.

I haven't tried any of these recently for a .us renewal and some of them I haven't tried at all and some of them may have been in my list for a while, but hopefully one of them will help you out! Personally, I broke down and let over 800 .US domains expire... I wasn't making any .us sales and decided that I couldn't afford to hold on them at the renewal rates until they went up. Best Wishes.

So, bottom line, I understand there is no decent .US renewal code/coupon available. Thanks, Go daddy. If I am wrong, please correct me. I guess my WWWE.US domain will just have to die on the vine as I will NOT spend $19.95 to renew it.

Transfer your .US domain elsewhere? I have one or two at Moniker, seems like renewal was about $8.

Yup, thats the way to go. I transferred a .us to 1and1 because i didn't want to pay $19/$20/renewal for .us....very ridiculous

Thanks to both of you, rep added, those are nice codes; the .in deal in particular saves $12 for a single domain .in to boot!

Cheers,

Is there to be no Verisign .Com price increase this year? I have heard nothing about one, and October was the time for it in the last two years.
Earthian said:
.... according to the contract with ICANN , VeriSign can raise the prices in the 4 out of the 6 years of the contract for up to 7% , unless there are security issues, in which case it can raise it for all 6 years

There was a post in April:
http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/577867-com-domain-renewal-price-increases.html
The conclusion was that there was no announcement at that time - there has to be a 6 month warning for an increase.

Good on them if they are showing a bit of public spirit in this recession year.
