As far as I know its just an aprilfool..

I just spoke to godaddy executive accounts, was told they have no codes for renewals, that the codes I receive in my renewal emails are for products offered other than domains.

Perhaps that is what he was referring to; there is no code to reduce the price below what I am already paying.

edit: Down the road, I hope and expect to be below 500 names in my account, no longer in executive accounts. I have a lot of domains I want to sell, that I purchased before I knew what I was doing (that is not to say I am an expert. I am far from it). At that time, the codes may help me.
