Its not useless but Godaddy reseller accounts is for business purpose..To promote to ppl who never register domains before or for your business customers..

They are not meant for domainers. Domainers wont register domains via ur godaddy reseller acct , they will just register directly from godaddy.com.
Will you register domains from a godaddy reseller website?

i think godaddy backorder are a waste of money.. never heard someone got a domain successfully from godaddy backorder before.. maybe i am wrong

I disagree. As long has the domain isn't backordered on SN, NJ, Pool.com, or BuyDomains, GoDaddy will almost always get it (though it might pass through a taster or two first).

GoDaddy sends domains registration requests every 100-250 milliseconds for each domain you backorder on drop day and used roughly 8 different registrars to capture names. I use GD to capture dropping domains that are decent yet fall just barely off most domainers' radars. I've flipped these grabs for as much as $1200 within a week. The alternative, capturing domains via APIs like Dynadot or, worse, manually, leaves you with a much greater risk of the name getting snatched up first by a taster who might choose to keep it.

If GoDaddy is the registrar of the domain name you want to backorder, then I don't think it's a waste of time.

I don't believe GoDaddy would "allow" other backordering service to get the domain name would they !?

What I like about GoDaddy Backordering is that only one person can backorder at the time for the same domain name. :)

I see GD grabbing great names every day on the drop, most recently and consistently with L-L-L.com. The thing about having only 1 person being able to reserve the name is that you've got to scan the expiring name lists not just the ones in pending delete, because by that time, good names have already been reserved...

FYI Enom has over 100 registrars that do the same thing. I would suggest that you use eNom over GoDaddy if you want the name.

I signed up for the Godaddy 'Discount Domain Club', especially for the $19.99 .tv renewal prices.

However, I still get $24.99 in my cart when I try to renew a .tv, while the price list shows $19.99:
http://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/club/landing.asp?ci=8994

Just wondering if anyone else with a 'Discount Domain Club' membership gets the same error?
Yes I had the same problem. I signed up to get the .tv discount but then didn't get it. What you have to do is load the domains you want to reg/renew in your shopping cart then contact support and tell them to process the order. You will still not get the .tv discount but they will then "credit" you a refund for the difference - or at least that's what they do for me. The guy I use for this is dmurphy (at) godaddy.com. So you might just email him and get yourself set up with him first. It's a total PITA!! ... but I do have a lot of .tv names and it does save me $5 a pop.

gdbb776 should shave off about $3 by cutting the domain renewal cost from $10.69 to $7.50 (if the domain you're talking about is a .com name anyway). That's as low as you can axe it through promo codes. Enjoy!

I tried this one today and did not work for me.
