Important Note
Please note that this thread is only for information that directly leads to discounts at GoDaddy.

If you have been banned from GoDaddy as a result of alleged promo code abuse, please use this thread.

I am currently confused if promotion codes can be applied on my order as none of the codes seem to work with all 100 domains don't know is it because it puts it into bulk mode, so would i need to reduce the quantity i renew at a time?

Yep. 100 names in a cart (at one shot) will turn their SKU's into bulk SKU's and their system will process the order as a bulk renewal.

Same goes for new names. I believe 5 or more at a time does that.

Maybe one by one, keep us posted!

I tried using LOL31 and other $20 off $75 coupons to no avail. I had at least one new domain in the shopping cart at the time, and no other codes. I also had renewals but as I read it that is okay as long as there is at least one new domain. Also, my potential purchases were exclusively domains, nothing else making up the $75+.

I'm looking to make quite a few renewals as well as purchase a few new domains. Any codes for $75 orders or even beyond that would be appreciated. Any other tips would be welcome as well.

Lol31

I just used LOL31 to save $20 on a 1-year CashParking account. It dropped the price from 107.88 to 87.88 and the shopping cart stated that I had qualified for a $1.99 domain.

I write this post because I wanted to let people know that I tried to add a new dot-com domain name but it wouldnt grant me the $1.99 price. Instead, it remain at $8.95 So while I did well with the $20 off for the CashParking account, I couldnt get that $1.99 domain and maybe its because I already used that coupon?

I am begining to think that we'll have to create multiple accounts to handle multiple purchases - a nightmare, yes but I am beginning to think they are tracking coupon usage per account per TLD per product, etc.. Maybe the savings will be worth managing multiple accounts IF that is true.

hmm without the $1.99 feature, the lol31 feature just reduces names to an average ~ $6.73 ie 9 * 8.95 = 80.60, less 20 = 60.60 = $6.73 each and that is with purchasing 9. Currently not enough of a price gap to drag me away from nc for regular regging....

I defintely see your point. Not a big difference. What I had thought was that the $1.99 price for a domain (because of the CashParking purchase) was for one domain, and figured why not. $1.99 for one name because I had wanted CashParking anyway, wasnt bad.

The other thing is the savings on CashParking was better with the LOL31 than it was with the 12% off coupon which expires tonight (11/6) at midnight. Was able to drop the monthly price from $8.99 to $7.32 - and thats for the 80% parking program. I know thats outside of the realm of this thread so I'll stop it here.

New Coupons

GB1 - Save an additional 10% off any order
GB2 - Save an additional $5 off an order of $30 or more
GB3 - Get your .com for $6.95/year

Note: If you’re registering or renewing a .net or .tv or anything but .com, please use GB1 or GB2

found at:
http://geekbriefwp.podshow.com/sponsorship-information/

I tried to renew with GB2 - doesnt work for me. These were .com renewals with nothing else in the cart. GB1 and GB3 did work however with GB3 being the better of those. Looks like 6.95 is the best for GD right now. :'(

How about, simply, "GoDaddy Coupons and Promo Codes" ? If its a loophole thats found, you could state that on the first post and it would be found via the search..

I would leave it for the moment. The main fun in the thread has all along been the $1.99 loophole. It may be that GD will not revitalise this little game and hope to consolidate domain name sales around the $6.99 mark. We shall see. I think that for most npers GD where used is their second favourite registrar mainly for the bargain offers. Once the offers disappear, then so will we back to our number 1 registrar. GD might be banking on their new interface catapulting them to No.1 registrar for some of us, but I'm afraid GD that it doesn't quite cut the mustard. However GD continues to offer a good deal for .ws and .cc. For the standard extensions I want a $1.50 - $2+ firebreak. Without the loophole the gap has gone.
