LOL31 plus TDNAM

I just renewed a bunch of names, adding one year at a time of TDNAM, after loading my cart with online-file-folders and domains (no more than 5 domains at a time added to cart). ("Yes, I want to join The Domain Name Aftermarket™: Just $4.99/yr!") Each time I added a year of TDNAM, I deleted an online file folder from the shopping cart.

This reduced the domain price to $1.99 each (plus $0.25).

Then I added the LOL31 coupon for $20 off $75.

There must be some trick to getting LOL31 to work, because I got it to work once, but later when I had to empty my cart and start over, I tried a lot of stuff before the LOL31 worked again. (I am not sure what finally worked.)

16 domains times $7.23 ($2.24 + $4.99) minus $20 coupon equals $115.68 total -- or $5.98 each

For 15 domains, replace one $4.99 TDNAM with a $5.99 online file folder to bring the price to $5.97 per name.:wave:

EDIT: I included a few NEW registrations among the renewals, and I think this was required for the LOL31 to work.

If you want to renew with it you must include at least one or more ? new registrations with the renewal. As pointed out by FreddyJoe

Can you not use promotion codes on renewal?
it says "Please note, additional promotional discounts do not apply to renewal products discounted or bulk domain names. Savings based on GoDaddy.com regular pricing"

The price I get: $6.65 for .com domains
$6.69 for .net domains

is it not possible to get any better prices, can I get any better prices by transfering out to another provider?

Got that too. But there are $5 off $30 coupons still good, arent there? Its confusing as to what works and what doesnt anymore. Seems like they've [GD] tightened things up a lot.

I gotta renew a bunch, less than 50, but still a good deal and would love to be able to get those 5.xx prices again otherwise they're just going to expire or I'm looking for a transfer out.

.........can I get any better prices by transfering out to another provider?

I am currently confused if promotion codes can be applied on my order as none of the codes seem to work with all 100 domains don't know is it because it puts it into bulk mode, so would i need to reduce the quantity i renew at a time?

Most codes will not work for renewals or transfers - there is a note to that effect on the checkout page:
