How can I get rid of it from my account?

Sorry to read of your troubles. That website tonight add-on is a pain. Hopefully GD will stop doing that soon.

If you were actually charged for it you should be able to simply contact GoDaddy Customer Support [480-505-8877] and asked them to immediately remove it from your account and ensure you are not billed for it. I usually ask for email confirmation of some sort, but it may not be needed for the free trial. They are generally spot on with taking care of such issues.

Called customer service and the autorenew was taken off,
Got convinced to at least keep the free trial until it expires!

GDBB776 worked very well. Better than other codes you gave. It makes the domain renewal to $8.17 and $3.99 for private whois renewal which makes the total $11.76

I will wait to see if I find any better one because I need to renew for 6-8 years.

How can you even tell it has been added? I didn't delete it and it doesn't seem to have been added to my account. Is it hidden somewhere?

Once you log-in, Highlight domains tab and go to Website Tonight Management (extreme right under my accounts).

Chances are if you did not see it in your account and it did not appear on your invoice or automated email, then it was not added.

I have noticed it gets automatically added once I type in certain codes and the shopping cart is recalculated. It normally just appears, and does so at the very bottom of the shopping cart, just below screen view. To see it before checkout I have to scroll down to the bottom of my shopping cart. If someone is not paying close attention and double checking the items in their cart when using such codes [as the .99/$1/$5 codes] it can easily be missed.

If someone has already checked out and made the purchase, it should then show up on the invoice, both the one in the account, as well as the copy that is sent via automated email.
