I purchased a domain from the godaddy cloesouts 2 days ago. An hour after paying for the domain i reached out to a live chat agent and asked how long it will take to transfer into my account. The agent said to wait 1 hour. 1 hour later still no domain nane received so I reached out again to another agent who told me wait 24 hour. 24 hours later and still no domain so I reached out again to another agent. This time I was told wait around for a response as the backend team are looking into it. After 1 hour on live chat last time I asked for an update. I was told wait another 30 minutes anyway 3 hours of waiting around and constantly being told to wait around for the transfer to take place any minute I was told by the same agent I now need to wait 10 days.

Godaddy has the worst live chat agent service across all domain registration platforms. WTF is going on and how long should I really be waiting to receive my domain ?

There is a high probability that you will not receive this domain name

Closeouts can take up to a week to appear in your account. This is standard. I don't think I've ever had a domain within 2 days from closeouts even at the $5 level.

The wait time is standard but the poor understanding of what's going on by GD support is... also standard

@lknights1987 Have you never bought a domain from closeouts before? 2-10 days before the domain reaches your account is standard.

Yes, i have, quite some time ago. I couldn't remember the time frame it took for the domain to land in my account, so reached out to live support who were useless and wasted my time. Never again will I use live chat support.

A minimum of 5 working days until you get the domain. Then point it to NamePros landers and reap the benefits of catch-all email.

They could have just told me that from the start instead they told me it'll take 30 minutes then 30 minutes later asked me to wait a further 30 minutes whilst the relevant department transfer the domain name. Live chat support is a complete mess

I agree their chat support needs vast improvement but to play devils advocate it does tell you on the listing an estimated time of arrival (so you know for next time).
