Hey,

I just tried to backorder a .com with GoDaddy for $20 and the domain "is not available for backordering". That makes me MAD! They should have checked BEFORE I bought the service. Has anyone else had such an annoying experience with GoDaddy?

I have heard many times that they are very bad at catching. I don't suggest them

Godaddy Backordering

The reason is because someone backordered that same name with them.

For future reference, do a general check at Godaddy on the domain name before you purchase a Backorder.

If you check the domain and the next screen states that it is unavailable but there is an option to backorder it, then nobody else has backordered it and you will be able to.

If the results state that it is unavailable and there is no option to backorder it, than somebody else already has.

It's nice to know they refunded your payment.

GoDaddy's backorder service doesn't measure up to Pool, Enom or some of the others. I've caught some good names through them though using the standard backorder. In a very specific scenario, I've had 100% success rate with them, catching some very good names.

I don't like GoDaddy's "backorder credit" system - that's what messed me up. But they understood, so I still give them an "A".
