GoDaddy Backordering

Ok, I have a .com domain on backorder with godaddy, and it is due to expire next month. Godaddy is the registrar of record.

So, from reading through some threads here, I now realize that a domain is offered up for bidding prior to it being dropped, which would block it from being transfered to someone who has it on backorder, if there were any bids.

What I am not clear on, is whether I am notified in anyway if someone bids on the domain prior to it being dropped, which would offer me the chance to get involved in the bidding, since the domain in this case would no longer get to the point of being offered to me as a backordered domain.

If you backordered the domain, you should have first shot at it. This means you will for sure at least get a chance to bid on the domain if more than one person backorder it. I am unsure how godaddy does bidding if there is more than one person who has backordered the domain. You may want to try calling their customer service to get a clear answer.

NO,Godaddy will not inform you unless you put a bid for this domain name.
