Questions for those of you who have used GoDaddy Alert Pro Backorder . . .

1. Does it ever work for a name registered with a registrar other than GoDaddy?

2. If the name is registered at GoDaddy and you are the only one to back-order it does it automatically become your name or does it still go to auction?

Q1:
Yes absolutely.

The domains are dropping from the central regsitry.

But if someone has it ordered with snapnames.com or pool.com 999 times out of a thousand they will beat godaddy.

Q2: This depends on whether its a full cycle drop or not.

If its a full cycle pending delete drop, then anyone can get it. Snap, pool etc.

If it a godaddy exclusive, then there is a godaddy auction.
